Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated individual to serve as a charitable nonprofit corporate Treasurer. As Treasurer, you will play a crucial role in guiding the organization towards achieving its mission and objectives. This position requires a heart for serving the worldwide community, including, local, state, national, and international communities. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of the organization, driving economic and business development initiatives, and leading operational excellence. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial acumen and a deep understanding of financial management principles. As the Treasurer, you will be responsible for overseeing the finance operations, including managing the organizations' finance department, and maintaining the integrity of our finance activities. This role is crucial in supporting our organization's fiscal health and strategic goals.
Work Location
Baton Rouge, LA, USA and/or remote. Interviews may be done virtually or in person. The job may be done initially, began, temporarily, in person only, or virtually only, or hybrid, as may be approved at the time of hire, until further notice.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or higher in finance, economics, business or related field, or in lieu of degree, equivalent work experience.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee finance transactions, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards, including executing organizational policies and tasks as to its finance activities and operations.
- Provide proposal, review, advice and analysis on making investments in stocks, bonds, mutual funds, index funds, other investment type funds, also derivates, such as, including, but not limited to: swaps, options, futures, forwards, and also on venture capital, real estate, appraisal, insurance, short selling, leveraging investing, on loans and grants, on banking, and on other financial accounts, payment, and card services for business.
- Develop and implement financial management and investment strategies that align with organizational objectives.
- Provide advice, presentations, and insights on financial performance through detailed analysis.
- Help to manage and oversee review and provide analysis of the finance portion of applicable business plans.
- Contribute to program development.
- Provide advice and guidance on new finance industry type of proposed businesses.
- Other related duties as assigned or delegated by the president of the organization or the board of directors.
