Job Description:

World Of Knowledge Early Learning Center Inc is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Assistant Teacher to join our team in Lincoln, NE. As an Assistant Teacher, you will play a crucial role in providing a warm and caring environment for all age groups to explore, learn, and develop essential skills. This position will work with all ages Birth - School-age. This position will cover Lead Teachers on their scheduled day off.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the lead teacher in creating a safe and secure environment for all age groups, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
• Implement developmentally appropriate activities that promote early learning and socialization.
• Engage in play and interactive age appropriate activities to encourage their cognitive, physical, and emotional development.
• Collaborate with the lead teacher and other team members to create and maintain an organized and visually stimulating classroom environment.
• Assist in preparing and maintaining learning materials and equipment.
• Adhere to all safety and health regulations and maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the classroom and play areas.

Requirements:

• Prior experience working in a childcare setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish positive relationships with children, parents, and team members.
• Knowledge of child development and understanding of age related milestones.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Patient, compassionate, and calm demeanor.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and needs within the center.
• Reliability - Must be able to work 4 scheduled days a week (10 hours a day).
