Corporate Travel Agent (Concord, NC)

This new role will assist our employees and contractors with our corporate travel program, including booking and financial reporting.

Duties:

• Assist employees and contractors with corporate travel including and not limited to:
  • Researching best travel options for employees, approved contractors and/or guests in compliance with corporate policies and practices
  • Booking hotel, air, and car
  • Distributing travel documents
  • Negotiating best and/or group rates for hotel, car rental and other travel related agencies
  • Reviewing bills, manifests, and other related documents; resolving discrepancies as needed
  • Ensuring application of company travel bonuses, miles, credits and other cost-effective measures
  • Resolving travel problems including travel and/or event cancelations
• Develop and maintain relationships with travel partners
• Ensure compliance with corporate travel policies and practices
• Communicate travel-related information, such as system outages or airport construction
• Arranging group housing for marquee events which may include extended stays
• Remain current on travel industry trends; recommend updates to corporate travel policies as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• At least three years of related experience, preferably in corporate travel
• IATA accreditation preferred
• High sense of ownership and personal accountability required
• Proven record of dependability and integrity
• Strong organizational skills necessary
• Good written and verbal skills
• History of and willingness to work in a team environment
• Able to maintain positive demeanor, even in highly stressful or demanding situations

Notes:

• There is limited overnight travel, averaging 5-10% per month or less. primarily during racing season
• This position requires frequent sitting and occasional walking and standing; the use of hands to grasp and feel frequently; the occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds; and may require use of close vision. This position is based indoors although may experience occasional exposure to the elements
• This is a part-time role in our Concord, NC office
