This position is reliant upon funding and may be subject to modification or termination based on resource availability.

POSITION SUMMARY:

World Relief seeks a part-time Community Health Worker (CHW) who will provide support to Congolese women throughout their family planning journey. This includes education on prenatal, pregnancy, and post-natal care for both mothers and babies while working alongside other World Relief programs to assist new parents.

• Client education, interpretation, and home visits, client notes, collaboration with WR teams and staff as well as local partners.
• Collaboration with UW Madison team and fellow CHWs in Wisconsin
  

• Mature and personal Christian faith
• Committed to the mission, vision, and values of World Relief
• Desire to serve and empower the Church to impact vulnerable communities
• Able to affirm and/or acknowledge World Reliefs Core Beliefs, Statement of Faith, Christian Identity and National Evangelicals For the Health of The Nation document
• Proficiency of Swahili, Kinyarwanda, French, and English and ability to connect with members of Congolese community.
• Interpreting skills, computer skills, collaborate with Health Team.
• Driving is required; A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle is needed as some training opportunities will be located outside of Appleton or Oshkosh,WI.
  

• Lived experience or high school diploma or HSED, experience in medical field but not required
• Connected to local Congolese community, Christian faith, experience educating
