Operations Technician

Under the direct supervision of the Surf Ranch Operations Manager and with the extension of direction from the Facilities Director. The Operations Tech is responsible for the overall maintenance and preventive maintenance of Surf Ranch facilities, ensuring tasks get completed on time. This position keeps the location clean and maintained in all areas. This role will perform work with a high degree of accuracy and skill maintaining the overall appearance of the grounds, which results in a safe well-groomed environment. The role must have a thorough understanding of all facilities and equipment, systems and be able to communicate effectively to overseeing Lead(s) and Manager(s).

Responsibilities include, but not limited to :

• Perform minor repairs and maintain equipment in proper condition using basic hand and power tools; report the need for additional maintenance and repair; keep records of work performed.
• Providing maintenance support for property as directed.
• Maintaining the condition of the overnight accommodation (airstreams & cabins).
• Servicing the hot tub, bicycles, work truck and other equipment at Surf Ranch as required.
• Preventive Maintenance; keeping equipment in good condition to extend its lifespan and reduce the risk of unexpected failures.
• Building maintenance; ensuring the main house and its basic facilities are well maintained, including drafting maintenance reports.
• Move and set up tables, chairs, and other furniture / equipment as needed for activities, meetings, and events.
• Provides general and detailed maintenance including patching, painting, hardware repairs, and other repair / replacement work as required.
• Understanding the Surf Ranch guest schedule to keep guest disturbance to a minimum.
• Actively looks to improve their site and works with their Lead and Manager to effectively complete tasks.
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment, including worksite and equipment.
• Follows work order forms and is able to complete tasks in a timely manner.
• Maintains appropriate service and repair records.
• Performs routine facility and equipment maintenance. Daily inspections of assigned buildings and spaces.
• Collaborate effectively with all departments and key individuals to achieve shared goals, ensuring tasks are completed on time and to the highest standard of quality.
• Other duties as assigned.

Hourly Pay Rate : $19-$21
