The Access Control and Security Camera Installer is responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of access control systems and security camera systems. This role requires technical knowledge of electronic security devices, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team to ensure the highest level of security for clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation:
- Install various types of access control systems (e.g., card readers, biometric scanners) and security camera systems (e.g., IP cameras, analog cameras).
- Ensure proper mounting, wiring, and connection of devices to the control systems and power sources.
- Configuration:
- Configure system settings in access control and surveillance software.
- Set up user permissions and security protocols in accordance with client specifications.
- Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
- Conduct regular maintenance and inspections of installed equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with access control and security camera systems, implementing effective solutions.
- Client Interaction:
- Collaborate with clients to assess their security needs and recommend suitable systems and configurations.
- Provide training to clients on system operation and best practices for security management.
- Documentation:
- Prepare detailed installation reports, maintenance logs, and as-built drawings.
- Maintain accurate inventory records of equipment and supplies.
- Continuous Learning:
- Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and regulations related to security systems.
- Attend training sessions and workshops to improve technical knowledge.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in electronics, security systems, or related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in installing access control systems and security camera systems; 2 years preferred.
- Strong knowledge of networking and CCTV technologies.
- Familiarity with various access control and surveillance software systems.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and work in various outdoor and indoor environments.
- Comfortable working at heights or in confined spaces as required by installation tasks.
Required
· Valid California Driver's license – Clean Driving Record
