Job Summary
We are seeking for candidates who will be responsible for preparing and baking, and decorating a variety of bread, rolls, and other baked goods in large quantities. This role requires efficiency, a strong understanding of baking techniques, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining product quality. The ideal candidate should have a background in production baking and be able to meet high-volume demands without sacrificing consistency or quality.
Duties
- Prepare and bake a variety of bread, rolls, and other baked goods, ensuring consistent product quality.
- Decorate cupcakes and other baked goods according to customer specifications and design requests.
- Follow standardized recipes and adjust for production volume while maintaining quality and flavor.
- Ensure all ingredients are measured, mixed, and prepared to the correct specifications.
- Operate and maintain bakery equipment (e.g., mixers, ovens, proofers) and ensure safety protocols are followed.
- Monitor oven temperatures, baking times, and dough consistency to ensure optimal product results.
- Collaborate with the production team to meet daily production goals and ensure timely delivery of baked goods.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery and production areas, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
- Assist in the inventory management of ingredients and baking supplies, ensuring materials are stocked and properly stored.
- Handle large batches of dough and ensure proper storage of products for freshness and quality.
- Assist in the creation of new recipes and product offerings when required.
- Ensure waste is minimized, and production schedules are adhered to.
- Provide support and training to junior bakers as needed.
- Keep track of production logs and inventory to maintain smooth operations.
Skills
- Proven experience as a Baker and or Decorator, with a focus on production baking.
- Strong artistic and creative skills in cake decorating techniques, including piping, airbrushing, sculpting, and sugar work.
- Solid understanding of baking techniques, dough handling, and ingredient usage.
- Ability to operate commercial baking equipment, such as mixers, ovens, and dough sheeters.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce consistent, high-quality baked goods.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining focus on quality and safety.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in a commercial kitchen.
- Strong teamwork skills and a positive attitude.
- Flexibility in working hours, including early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift heavy bags of flour and ingredients (up to 50 lbs).
- Willingness to work in a hot, fast-paced environment.

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
