Summary
Reporting directly to the IT Director of Development, the Application Developer II will develop and support mission-critical applications for the organization. Responsibilities include managing websites, e-commerce solutions, custom APIs, and other dynamic applications, where creativity, analytical thinking, and problem-solving are key attributes.
The Application Developer II will collaborate closely with senior IT staff to leverage modern development tools, cloud technologies, system integrations, and platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Microsoft NAV ERP, WordPress, Magento 2, and Drupal 10. Prior direct experience with these specific platforms is advantageous but not mandatory; however, applicants must demonstrate a foundational understanding and ability to quickly acquire proficiency in these technologies.
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide essential development and operational support to various business units, including troubleshooting (HTML/CSS/JS), making configuration adjustments, and addressing day-to-day inquiries.
- Manage and enhance existing Magento sites, performing plugin and platform updates, and implementing new functionalities.
- Support internal teams or external development agencies in maintaining our primary Drupal CMS.
- Advise leadership on application capabilities and leverage technical solutions to resolve complex business challenges.
Requirements
Qualifications & Skills:
- Strong foundation in programming and database concepts.
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and creativity.

Required Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
- 2-5 years’ hands-on experience in development using Magento, Drupal, WordPress, or related PHP frameworks.
- Demonstrated success in at least one project involving significant custom development.
Preferred Experience:
- Specific proficiency in Magento 2, Drupal 8-10, and WordPress.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Familiarity with or the capacity to quickly adapt to various operational systems, including Microsoft Dynamics CRM, CMS platforms, and ERP systems.
Performance Measures:
- Timely delivery and quality of individual and team projects.
- Achievement of predefined annual goals and objectives.
- Successful resolution of technical support tickets and completion of feature enhancements.
