Position Summary
The Development Specialist with the IRONMAN Foundation (IMF) will primarily focus on strengthening and building relationships with prospective and current TEAM IMF athletes, as well as providing outstanding customer service and communication to all IRONMAN Foundation stake holders. This individual will be instrumental in providing support for IRONMAN Foundation’s development and program management with a focus on executing exceptional athlete experience.
Responsibilities:
• Assist in the management of TEAM IMF and maintenance of the team roster.
• Manage IRONMAN Foundation apparel and kit inventory.
• Manage the fulfillment of athlete kits and shipments.
• Provide support for IMF special events and development projects.
• Provide administrative support to the Development Manager.
• Work directly with Athlete Services for TEAM IMF race registrations.
• Provide support for TEAM IMF fundraising, including monitoring and outreach.
• Provide support for the creation and maintenance of IMF fundraising campaigns.
• Collaborate and provide administrative support on additional IMF projects as assigned.
• Represent IMF at key IRONMAN events over the course of the triathlon season.
• Assist in coordination of off-site events.

Requirements
Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements):
• Ability to travel between April and November.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience with preferred fields of study in Nonprofit Management, Communications,
Marketing, Public Relations, Kinesiology, Business, or related field.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
• Ability to lift and move 25 lbs, stand for extended periods of time, and work extended event hours.
Preferred Qualifications:
• 1 year professional work experience in business, nonprofit, communications, marketing, sales, or customer service.
• Experience in Microsoft TEAMS, Donor Drive, and Constant Contact a plus.
• Experience in events or public engagement.
• Intermediate level knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organization and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and support multiple initiatives simultaneously.
• High Energy Level.
• Ability to work weekends and nights as needed.
• Ability to handle highly stressful situations with composure and foresight.
This position reports to the Development Manager and is based out of the IRONMAN Foundation office in Tampa, FL.
