Worldwide Professional Solutions is seeking a highly skilled, experienced, and motivated Safety Coordinators for CUP and Production areas to join our growing team in Wilson, North Carolia for a large-scale pharmaceutical manufacturing construction project. The successful candidate will have Safety Coordination experience related to construction in the Semiconductor, Industrial, Chemical, Gas and Oil, Pharmaceutical, Biotech, or Manufacturing markets.
Candidate must be self-motivated, technically skilled, highly organized, communicate clearly and have a proven ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment. Candidates work history must represents increased levels of responsibility on a progressive basis throughout career.
\n- Manage all documentation related to project incidents (ITPS, near misses, first aids, recordables, etc.) including investigation reports, witness statements and lessons learned communications.
- Maintain all recordkeeping related to safety and interruptions to production
- Collaborate with safety representatives from trade contractors to continuously monitor the program to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Engage with field teams to identify better means of support to include but not limited to:
- Aiding in hazard awareness
- Assistance in identifying means and methods of hazard mitigation
- Alternate installation approaches
- Being a resource for information and guidelines regarding their personal safety and their environment
- Take an active role on the site safety leadership team to support the overall site initiatives and goals for safety
- Stay apprised of industry trends, regulation changes and new tools and techniques and keep the team informed as appropriate
- Work with management and safety professions to develop and deliver safety onboarding training for all new employees
- Other safety related responsibilities as warranted.
- 3-5 years in Pharmaceutical, Biotech, Semiconductor, or Oil and Gas field
- OSHA 30
- AS/BS - Occupational Safety and Health or related degree and/or relevant experience
- Individual will be working primarily in a field environment with potential frequent office work, and training. Validation walks required (may include some work on ladders or lifts).
- Must be able to walk and stand most of the day. Must be able to lift up to 50lbs occasionally. Must be able to climb ladders and work on lifts.
