- Network Design and Deployment:
- Design and implement LAN, WAN, and wireless networks based on organizational requirements.
- Configure and install routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices.
- Monitoring and Maintenance:
- Monitor network performance to identify and resolve issues proactively.
- Maintain network security by configuring firewalls, VPNs, and implementing security protocols.
- Schedule and perform network updates, upgrades, and maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Troubleshooting:
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
- Provide Tier-2/3 support and escalate issues to senior staff or vendors when necessary.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Document network configurations, changes, and maintenance activities.
- Generate reports on network performance, uptime, and incidents for stakeholders.
- Collaboration and Training:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support new projects or technology integrations.
- Train junior staff or end-users on network functionalities and best practices.
- Security and Compliance:
- Ensure network compliance with organizational policies, industry standards, and regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
- Respond to security incidents and perform regular vulnerability assessments.
