Job Title: ACI Network Engineer (Hybrid - Rosemead, CA)
Location: Rosemead, California
Work Schedule: Hybrid (Onsite 2 days a week)
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer to join our team in Rosemead, CA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network engineering, with a focus on Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI), routing, and switching. This role involves both engineering and operational responsibilities, including implementation, support, and automation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- ACI Engineering and Operations: collaborate with the engineering team to design and implement ACI solutions, transitioning them seamlessly into operational environments. Provide ongoing support to the operations team, ensuring efficient management of the ACI infrastructure.
- Routing and Switching: manage and optimize network routing and switching configurations to ensure high availability and performance.
- Firewall Management: work closely with onsite firewall personnel to integrate and manage firewall solutions within the network infrastructure.
- Automation and Runbooks: identify opportunities for automation within network operations. Develop and maintain runbooks to streamline processes and enhance operational efficiency.
- Topology Mapping: assist in the topology mapping project by leveraging knowledge of tools like the Broadcom Spectrum Topology Management Suite to provide accurate network representations.
Qualifications:
- Network Expertise: Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP) and experience in network monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Cisco ACI Experience: Proven experience in setting up and managing a Cisco ACI Fabric.
- Programming Skills: experience in automating Cisco ACI environments, preferably using Terraform.
- Certifications: relevant Cisco certifications (e.g., CCNP, CCIE) are highly desirable.
Preferred Skills:
- Broadcom Spectrum Experience: familiarity with the Broadcom Spectrum Topology Management Suite for network topology mapping and management.
Automation Tools: experience with network automation tools and scripting languages to enhance operational efficiency.
