World Wildlife Fund (WWF), one of the world’s leading conservation organizations, seeks a Development Coordinator, Western Region

 

Major Function

The Development Coordinator plays a key role in supporting WWF’s philanthropy program in the western region by supporting regional fundraising efforts, assisting in event planning, managing a regional office in downtown San Francisco, and acting as liaison to the development department at WWF’s Washington DC headquarters. This coordinator will be part of a dynamic team of 4-6 development professionals in the nine-state western region. In addition to a passion for WWF’s mission, the position requires an entrepreneurial spirit, exceptional communication, customer service and project management skills and the ability to interact professionally with major donors and others. 

Responsibilities

  • Support regional fundraising team in the identification, cultivation and solicitation of donors capable of making significant gifts to WWF. Help track donor activities in CRM and prepare donor reports. 
  • Provide administrative support including making travel arrangements as needed and preparing expense reports. Track budget items, review bills and invoices, review financial reports. 
  • Manage the day-to-day responsibilities for San Francisco office including tenant management, telecommunications, general maintenance/repairs, equipment, office supplies, and general office duties. Serve as central point of contact for phone calls and requests from donors and general public.  
  • In close coordination with WWF’s events management team in Washington DC, help plan and implement special donor events in the Western Region. 
  • Coordinate production of bi-monthly WWF out West e-newsletter, in coordination with Donor Communications team. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of experience in a professional office environment.
  • Ability to work well independently and with a team.  
  • “Can-do” attitude with ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and adjust to changing situations and priorities.  
  • Confidence and professionalism to work successfully with donors, Board and National Council members and the public. 
  • Strong project management skills; Strongly detail oriented 
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills. Ability to proof and edit documents. 
  • Experience performing basic IT troubleshooting and related activities. 
  • Ease in using a variety of office software. Proficiency in Microsoft Office 360. Ability to analyze and interpret data. Experience using a CRM system 
  • Occasional evening and weekend work required. Occasional travel within Western Region and to Washington DC headquarters.

Minumum of 2 times a week in the San Francisco Bay office. Felxibility is required.
