Job purpose
This Warehouse Lead position is responsible for working side by side with both management and the team . The Warehouse Lead manages day to day operations by working with their teams to ensure customer satisfaction, and operational goals are consistently met.
Duties and responsibilities
- Determine and manage the production costs; control costs and effectively allocate and recommend resources needed to complete jobs on a timely basis and in accordance with output expectations.
- Manage, coach and provide assistance to production staff; motivate team members and act as a liaison between other department heads, ensuring optimal cooperation between departments.
- Resolve production issues and maintain quality standards and output requirements
- Communicate progress, project updates and departmental updates with the management team and production personnel.
- Assist with employee relations including investigations, disciplinary actions
- Ensure compliance with all government regulations; GMP standards, safety policies and company policies.
- Oversee staffing and recruiting for production.
- Conduct performance reviews within company guidelines.
- Manage, assist and train employees as needed for higher efficiency to minimize waste & rework.
- Manage and develop a team of hourly Production staff.
- Oversee all training for the shift.
- Promote safety & best practices.
- Drive continuous improvement and change.
Qualifications
- Education: High school or equivalent (Preferred)
- Experience:
o 1 – 2 year’s operating in a warehouse environment
o Knowledge of 3PL systems and procedures
- Abilities
o Evaluating quality of materials or products.
o Reading work orders or other instructions to determine product specifications or materials requirements
o Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources.
o Monitoring and reviewing information from materials, events, or the environment, to detect or assess problems.
o Inspecting equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.
