Overview
WORLDPAC is searching for a Leave of Absence Case Specialist who will be responsible for administering the leave and absence programs for WORLDPAC team members from initiation through closure. This includes all appropriate communications, documentation and transactional updates are reflected in the system.
Responsibilities
- Facilitates the LOA Management Process; including the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Act (USERRA), and other leave types required by federal/state law and company policy.
- Communicates with Team Members requesting LOAs regarding the eligibility requirements and documentation needed for LOA approvals.
- Communicates with HR Managers and business partners in the field regarding Team Members’ LOA status and return to work accommodations.
- Prepares and maintains extensive detailed reports on Team Member LOA data.
- Ensures compliance with all state and federal labor and employment laws and regulations as pertains to LOAs and workplace accommodations.
- Work with Payroll and Benefits to ensure team members on applicable Leaves are paid accurately and are appropriate enrolled in benefits.
- Authorize return to work using physician documentation, departmental ability to comply with restrictions, and knowledge of the physical requirements of the existing job or alternate job
- Assist team members in getting back to work and receiving appropriate benefits according to Company policies and legal requirements
- Log all interactions in the case management system and/or leave management system
- Ensure a quality experience by using a professional and service-focused approach when handling all inquiries, transactions, and requests
- Ensure employee privacy, including confidentiality and protection of sensitive employee reports or information
- Manages Ad-hoc reporting as needed to support cross functional business partners.
Qualifications
- Experience with HR administration functions knowledge of policies and programs
- Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel) Preferred: Bachelor’s degree
- 3-5 years’ experience in leave management and/or employee benefits
- 3 plus years with HR and/or case management technologies (e.g., portals, HCM’s)
- Advanced Excel and presentation development skills
- Workday experience highly desirable
Pay Range
