The Role: We are seeking a junior Corporate Paralegal to join the WorldQuant Legal team. The job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Report to the senior corporate paralegal and assist on a broad range of projects and tasks
- Prepare corporate entity filings for domestic and foreign entities, including entity formation, qualification documents, and Corporate Transparency Act filings
- Draft corporate documents such as resolutions, officer certificates and operating agreements for U.S. and non-U.S. entities
- Prepare contract drafts (such as non-disclosure agreements and license agreements) on standard templates
- Review marketing materials
- Assist with maintaining electronic and hard copy (on-site) legal department files/corporate records
- Facilitate contract execution process, including signature, notarization and apostille, as applicable, and distribution and mailing of agreements
- Provide administrative support such as word-processing, filings in document management system, etc.
- Support attorneys in research and other projects relating to the ongoing operations of multiple global offices
- Develop standard operating procedures and tracking tools to support the streamlining of department processes
- Liaise with various departments within the organization as needed
- Attend in-person and virtual meetings, as assigned
- Have at least one year of experience as a paralegal, either in house or at a corporate law firm
- Experience supporting attorneys in corporate transactions
- Familiarity with foreign entities a plus
- Demonstrate a track record of outstanding educational and professional achievement
- Ability to prioritize work effectively and manage deadlines
- Resourceful, high attention to detail and ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities
- Self-motivated and able to work collaboratively and manage projects independently
- Highly organized and comfortable supporting the senior corporate paralegal and multiple attorneys and projects simultaneously
- High proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience with document management systems a plus
