SUMMARY: The Executive Director, Alliance Management plays a crucial role in steering commercial growth and ensuring strategic and operational alignment with organizational goals and sponsor portfolios, such as RA Ventures and Worldwide partnerships. Additionally, they play a crucial role in driving business development, providing updates to senior management, and ensuring effective governance and risk mitigation across the portfolio.

SUMMARY: The Executive Director, Alliance Management plays a crucial role in steering commercial growth and ensuring strategic and operational alignment with organizational goals and sponsor portfolios, such as RA Ventures and Worldwide partnerships. Additionally, they play a crucial role in driving business development, providing updates to senior management, and ensuring effective governance and risk mitigation across the portfolio.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Tasks may include but are not limited to:
- Acts as the main executive-level customer relationship holder and contact for major decisions affecting the relationship, growth, delivery and financial health of each account within the VC portfolio.
- Leverages, develops, and nurtures relationships with VC leadership and key customer decision makers, identifying, developing and driving opportunities for growth and value creation.
- Leads the development and execution of robust strategic plan for each account within the VC portfolio working closely with Account Directors, Commercial Leadership, Operations and other internal stakeholders.
- Achieves account objectives by working with matrix account team including Commercial, Commercial Operations, Therapeutic Strategy Leads, Franchise Area Leads, and other applicable functional area leads.
- In working with Operations will develop, implement, and oversee strategies and processes to optimize study processes and systems, enhancing efficiency and data integrity for each study within a portfolio.
- Develop and leads account governance oversight including Executive and Partnership level governance forums. Coordinate and serve on Governance Committee and Joint Operating Committee with Sponsor Counterpart, as appropriate.
- Collaborate with Franchise Area Leads and other key internal stakeholders to manage budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation across the portfolio to maximize profitability and resource utilization.
- Drive business growth by identifying new business opportunities and participating in the development of proposals and client presentations.
- Provide regular updates to senior management internally and externally on the progress, challenges, and strategic direction of the portfolio.
- Work with cross functional senior leadership and Global Operations to resolve issues and mitigate risks to successfully operationalize study delivery.
- Collect and report metrics and performance metrics from strategic partnerships to help quantify improvements or declines in quality, costs and productivity

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Exceptional strategic planning and organizational skills. Strategic thinking with the ability to see the big picture while managing detailed contractual and operational aspects.
- Strong financial acumen and the ability to manage budgets and financial plans.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to negotiate and influence effectively.
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in business or life sciences discipline.
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in clinical research, with at least 5 years in a senior management role within a CRO or pharmaceutical environment.
- Demonstrated leadership in managing large-scale clinical research studies and/or programs.
- Extensive knowledge of clinical research
- Proven ability to lead and inspire a team in a fast-paced and changing environment.
- Requires domestic and international travel, including overnight stays. Ability to travel approximately 30% for business needs.
