Job Overview:
Worldwide Electric is seeking a highly skilled and results-driven Master Demand Planner to manage and optimize demand forecasting for our diverse range of motors, gearing, and generators products. In this role, you will leverage advanced analytical tools, collaborate cross-functionally with sales, production, IT, and marketing teams, and ensure that demand profiles are aligned with business objectives and market trends. Your primary goal will be to drive the accuracy of forecasts, optimize inventory levels, enhance supply chain performance, and play a key role in optimizing and supporting our P21 system and application roadmap in collaboration with IT.
Key Responsibilities:
- Demand Forecasting & Planning:
- Develop, manage, and refine demand forecasting models for motors, gearing, and generators, ensuring accurate, timely, and data-driven forecasts.
- Utilize historical data, sales trends, market insights, and collaboration with stakeholders to create and optimize demand plans.
- Coordinate the demand planning process with sales, marketing, and production teams to align business objectives and strategies with forecasted demand.
- Demand Optimization:
- Monitor and analyze demand fluctuations, identifying and addressing any potential imbalances between supply and demand.
- Optimize demand profiles to minimize excess inventory, reduce stockouts, and improve product availability across all regions.
- Lead efforts to adjust forecasts based on actual sales data, customer trends, and market conditions.
- Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with supply chain, procurement, sales, marketing, and IT teams to ensure alignment on forecasts, inventory targets, and system requirements.
- Collaborate with IT to support the development and optimization of the P21 (Prophet 21) system and integrate forecasting and planning processes.
- Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to senior management to support strategic decision-making, inventory planning, and product launches.
- Communicate demand forecast changes and challenges to key stakeholders regularly.
- P21 System Optimization & Application Roadmap:
- Work with IT to optimize the P21 system for better demand planning and forecasting, ensuring that it supports both current and future business requirements.
- Support the development and execution of the P21 application roadmap, prioritizing enhancements that improve forecasting accuracy, inventory management, and overall supply chain performance.
- Ensure smooth integration of demand planning tools and P21, including data migration, system updates, and the testing of new functionalities.
- Assist in the development of training materials for the P21 system and provide support to teams using the system.
- Performance & KPI Monitoring:
- Track demand forecast accuracy, service levels, inventory turnover, and other key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate planning effectiveness.
- Implement corrective actions based on forecast performance and market conditions to continuously improve planning processes.
- Conduct periodic reviews of forecasting methodologies and demand planning systems to identify opportunities for improvements.
- System & Process Improvements:
- Leverage ERP systems and advanced demand planning software to streamline the forecasting process and ensure data integrity.
- Continuously identify areas for process improvement within the demand planning function to drive greater efficiency and accuracy.
- Support the implementation of new forecasting tools and techniques that support the optimization of the supply chain.
- Reporting & Documentation:
- Prepare and present detailed reports on demand forecasts, inventory status, and supply chain performance to senior management and other key stakeholders.
- Maintain documentation related to forecasting methodologies, assumptions, and planning processes for internal and audit purposes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain management, with specific experience in motors, gearing, and generators preferred.
- Experience working with Prophet 21 (P21) or similar ERP systems, with the ability to support optimization initiatives and enhancements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with large datasets and identify actionable insights.
- Proficiency in demand planning software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems) and Excel-based tools (advanced functions such as pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions.
- Demonstrated experience in managing complex demand planning processes for large product portfolios.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
