WorldWide Electric is a national distributor of electric motors, motor controls and gearing both in private labeled lines and manufacturer's brand labels, some of which are well known throughout the world. We are seeking a highly motivated, high potential Prophet 21 System Admin / Developer.
Summary:
Prophet 21 System Admin / Developer main responsibility is to maintain P21 environment operational and updated, including in house enhancements, connections to 3PL external warehouses and other third parties (BlueGrace). Working closely with IT, Sales, Purchasing, Planning, Logistics, and Operations, and the leadership team, the P21 developer will analyze business needs and if required create new development. This role will be a key team member in providing business tools and methods to ensure efficient and effective overall company performance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operational knowledge to Prophet 21,
- Day to day P21 administration like new users, security, scheduling task
- Managing master files using internal Prophet 21 imports, custom APIs, excel worksheets generating jsons.
- Maintain current developments in operation (skills C# and SQL) including customer fields, screens and business rules
- Analyze new business needs, create and develop new business solution withing Prophet 21 environment (C# and SQL)
- Develop P21 extension, integration with partners using APIs, jsons
- Assists in process improvement efforts throughout the company
- Conduct ad-hoc analysis for daily operations and key projects.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in IT or related field with 7-10 years of experience in ERP or Distribution systems.
- Technical experience with SQL development - 5 years (must)
- Technical experience with C# development - 5 years (must)
- VB or VBA (Visual basic for Application) experience - 1 years (must)
- Experience with ERP for large organization (Epicor P21 preferred) - 5 years.
- Experience with distribution or manufacturing preferred
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate and analyze data and provide data driven recommendations
- Available to travel to other sites, approx. week per two months
- Preferred location: any of WWE sites, remote person will travel more (approx. week per month)
- Self-starter and ability to work without direct supervision
- Very high level of proficiency in data-oriented software tools such as Excel (essential), business intelligence platforms, Power BI and ERPs
- On-site preferred, from our Rochester, NY office or our Hernando, MS office. Job can be hybrid or remote based on qualifications, but candidate must be willing to spend 2 months in Rochester, NY for training.
