Worldwide Flight Services, a global air cargo logistics leader and best in class ground handling partner, in collaboration with ACU Dallas, proudly presents the Operational Leadership Academy - an immersive 20-week program designed to foster the growth of future operational leaders within WFS North America.
Our program is designed to empower learners with the knowledge and critical tools to enhance their leadership capabilities and chart a path toward accelerated career advancement within a global air logistics organization. Engage in a uniquely tailored college curriculum that combines college level coursework in leadership domains, along with hands on training in our cargo and ground handling operations.
To be considered for this opportunity candidates must reside in the following locations: Dallas, Los Angeles, Chicago, Miami, Denver, New York City Metropolitan Area, and Seattle.
Earn While You Learn
Selected candidates will receive full employment compensation upon the start of the program. You can also receive up to 9 hours of college credit toward a degree or certificate.
Program Details
Duration: 20-week Leadership Development Training
Format: The first 7 weeks feature a blend of onsite training at DFW (Dallas) and JFK (New York) and dynamic online learning with interactive learning modules. As the program progresses, it will shift to a self-paced online format within the ACU college platform, balancing academic coursework with practical application through on-the-job training and mentorship. At the conclusion of the 20-week program you will shift to a full-time Manager on Duty with one of our business units at your assigned station.
Job Summary
The role of our Manager on Duty involves directly supervising Warehouse, Airport Ramp and/or Customer Service associates. These teams move cargo by push carts, tugs and forklifts in and around our indoor/outdoor warehouse facilities that are located on airport property. This is a roll up your sleeves job that supports a talented team of professionals who ensure goods and passengers arrive on time to destinations across the United States. The Manager on Duty leads the team following our structured processes and guidelines, keeping the safety of all our team members first. The Manager on Duty works with the team to ensure that customer satisfaction, safety, security and quality exceed standards for their assigned shift. MODs also maintain and control all required aspects of the operation during their shift in accordance with the corporate security program and TSA legislation.

Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in supply chain roles. WFS will consider a college degree in lieu of experience.
- High school Diploma/ GED but prefer candidates with a college degree.
- Open availability must be able to work any shift, including weekends (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday), and holidays.
- Ability to obtain an airport issued security badge as required by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA).
- Ability to clear WFS-NA pre-employment background check and drug test.
