Job Summary
The Instructor Ramp Services delivers safety, security, and procedural training for airport ramp service agents, including initial, recurrent, and on-the-job training. This role ensures compliance with WFS policies, government regulations, and operational standards while maintaining training records and conducting audits. The instructor also updates training manuals and SOPs as needed and collaborates with regulatory agencies to ensure adherence to industry requirements. While based at their station, the primary focus is supporting training efforts, reporting to local station management with a dotted line to the corporate training team.
Responsibilities
- Conduct initial, recurrent, and on-the-job training for ramp service agents.
- Ensure compliance with WFS policies and government safety regulations.
- Maintain and monitor training records for accuracy and audit readiness.
- Conduct local audits to assess adherence to safety and procedural standards.
- Update training manuals and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Assist with data entry, flight documentation, and passenger processing compliance.
- Interface with TSA, FAA, CBP, and local airport authorities.
- Support station management in training-related initiatives and compliance efforts.
Minimum Requirements
- Must be knowledgeable and compliant with WFS training policies and processes.
- 2 years of ramp operational experience.
- Knowledge and experience with aircraft ground movement, ground service equipment, and deicing operations.
- Must possess leadership qualities. Requires strong oral and written communications skills, and excellent presentation and interpersonal skills.
- 10% travel
- Ability to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language.
Preferred Skills
- Ability to speak clearly and be understood.
- Work with little or no supervision.
- Reports to work on a regular and timely basis.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
- Must be able to perform the following functions in variable weather and environmental conditions
- Work in a high noise level environment.
- Work in restricted spaces as necessary to demonstrate job functions.
- Push, pull, bend, stoop, twist, turn, reach, crawl, or grip as necessary to demonstrate job functions and operate required equipment.
