Job Title : Manufacturing Shift Supervisor

Worldwide Foam is looking for a true leader to join our growing and dynamic team as a Manufacturing Shift Supervisor! This hands-on role oversees the extrusion process and leads a team of operators directly on the production floor. You'll be actively involved in all aspects of production, emphasizing efficiency, safety, and maintaining high product quality. This is a working supervisor role. You'll be part of the team keeping the machine going, while keeping the team going.

1st Shift : 6 : 00am - 2 : 30pm

Hourly range : $26 - $31 depending on qualifications and experience

Essential Functions :

Actively lead and train a team of extrusion operators, working alongside them on the floor.
Monitor and directly manage production outputs to ensure high rates and quality standards, resolving inconsistencies in real-time.
Collaborate closely with maintenance personnel to coordinate both routine and corrective maintenance of extrusion equipment, often participating in the tasks.
Enforce and model safety protocols by conducting training and upholding safe work practices on the floor.
Maintain and oversee the accuracy of production records, ensuring clear communication across teams.
Proactively troubleshoot production issues, involving hands-on problem-solving to foster continuous process improvements.
Cultivate a positive and productive work environment by being an integral part of daily operations.
Drive innovation by actively seeking and implementing new ways to improve processes, procedures, and equipment.

Work Environment :

Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts.

Physical Demands :

Regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.

Must be able to lift and / or move up to 50 pounds.

Occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, respirator, N95 mask, gloves, and earplugs.

Supervisory Responsibilities :

Manages attendance and schedules for a team of extrusion operators.

Conducts annual performance evaluations and provides feedback.

Oversees the training and development of team members.

Administers disciplinary actions when necessary.

Enforces company policies and procedures.

Travel Required : Not typical for this position.

Required Education and Experience :

5 years of experience in manufacturing, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.

High School Diploma or GED - higher education preferred but not required.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with ERP systems.

Proven strong leadership and communication skills.
