Cool Clubs is hiring for a Lead Master Club Fitter at our Irvine, CA location! This is a full-time position (normal hours of 9am-5pm) that will work five (5) days per week. This person must be open to working weekends.

Job Description

The Lead Master Club Fitter is responsible for performing golf club fittings and related assignments for a wide range of players including high handicap customers, better playing amateurs, VIP guests, and tour players. The Lead Master Club Fitter may also supervise one or more Master Club Fitters. Responsibilities include:

Club Fitting

• Ownership of all aspects of the club fitting process (customer service, technology, sales, etc.)
• Fit all customers using the good/better/best fitting process and make proper club recommendations
• Accurately document all fitting information in fitting software
  
  

Follow Through

• Remain in contact with customers during the build process when necessary
• Collaborate with builders on fitting/building challenges
• Address customer concerns and resolve them promptly to the customers satisfaction
  
  

Order Tracking

• Fluently understand order tracking system
• Enter all orders and pertinent information into order tracking system upon placing an order
• Provide order updates to customers as needed
• Update system as needed (pick-ups, notes, etc.)
  
  

Club Repair

• Loft and Lie adjustments for customers
• Re-gripping clubs for store customers when able
• Assist build shop with lite club repair when able
  
  

Front Of House

• Greet customers who enter the store
• Answer phones and manage personal voicemail box
• Book Fittings and help manage fitting calendar
• Help Customer Service Rep manage pick-up closet
• Assist with general cleanliness of the store
  
  

Other Duties

• Maintain a high level of product and industry knowledge by learning about new technologies and products
• Keep individual desk clean and organized
• Utilize all safety protocols and equipment as set forth by the employee handbook and company policies
• Supervision and mentorship of other Master Club Fitter(s)
• Responsible for cash handling and management
  
  

Required Job Skills

• Expert knowledge of golf equipment and shafts
• Excellent understanding of ideal golf ball launch characteristics
• General knowledge of club repair
• Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office and POS Experience
  
  

Recommended Job Skills

• Experience with TrackMan or similar launch monitor technology
• Retail sales/customer service experience
• Excellent time management and phone etiquette skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Experience with managing a fitting site and/or managing other employees in the golf industry.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is regularly required to type, and may be required to lift supplies up to 20 lbs. The estimated compensation range for this position is $50,000 - $80,000 per year. Individual starting pay within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
