Key Responsibilities
- Assist in maintaining and surpassing the company's operating targets by directing and motivating resources in the pick/pack cycle.
- Utilize available information to make swift and effective decisions, ensuring on-time shipping performance exceeds customer expectations.
- Provide hands-on training to new team members and set clear expectations for the team, identifying opportunities for ongoing training and continuous improvement.
- Direct and support staff to ensure efficient completion of daily functions, including order fulfillment, sorting, packing, and loading of trucks.
- Proactively identify areas for efficiency gains, employee morale improvement, and process enhancements, and communicate ideas to management.
- Monitor and assess weekly key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure employee performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with the GVC leadership team to foster positive working relationships and further develop leadership skills.
- Play a key role in resolving order fulfillment issues and ensure quick resolution of open order issues in coordination with the customer service team.
- Enforce established security and safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment, delegating tasks as necessary.
- Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective professional relationships.
- Previous experience in a distribution center or manufacturing environment, preferably within an e-commerce fulfillment center.
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate metric performance data and identify productivity trends.
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Excel
- Attention to detail, tenacity, and dependability in completing assignments accurately and on time.
- Strong work ethic, ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Flexibility to adapt to production needs, including seasonal fluctuations in work hours.
- Physically able to lift a minimum of 25 lbs.
- Accountability and willingness to share facility key holder responsibilities and rotate open/closing shifts to maintain work/life balance for the management team.
