Purpose of the Job:

The Senior Logistics Project Manager, with a focus on temperature control, will be responsible for driving account and team growth as well as developing strategic initiatives.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and manage transportation and logistics projects for clients, ensuring smooth execution from start to finish.
• Prepare and present business reviews to clients, highlighting key performance indicators and achievements.
• Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices to provide valuable insights to clients.
• Negotiate freight rates and contracts with customers.
• Oversee all aspects of daily operations.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless communication and coordination between departments.
• Maintain customer relations through communication and provide exceptional customer service, addressing client inquiries and concerns promptly.
• Stay proactive in seeking new business opportunities and expanding the client base.
• Identify opportunities for improvements and implement them whenever feasible.
• Engage in individual LPM and SLAM reviews, providing coaching and mentorship.
• Ensure timely completion of tasks for team members reporting directly to this position.
• Provide weekly updates to management regarding customer activities and issues.
• Assist customers in defining and developing project Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Successfully execute all projects assigned by the Logistics Director.
• Collaborate in the development and creation of reports tailored to each customer's specifications.
• Monitor project revenue and costs for effective financial management.
• Address escalated issues or inquiries from direct reports with prompt resolution.
• Perform other assigned duties as needed.

Qualifications

Other Skills & Abilities:

• Proficient in MS Office.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and quality-driven.
• Detail and results oriented. 
• Team player, exceptional communication skills (oral and written).
• Regular attendance is required.
• Strong leadership skills required.

Education and/or Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree (Logistics, Supply Chain or Transportation preferred) or equivalent experience in the industry.
• 10 years of experience in logistics management preferred, with a focus on temperature-controlled environments.
