We are hiring an NDE Technician candidate will perform inspections and tests for at receiving, in-process and final for all production parts, subassemblies, purchased parts, outside operations and completed assemblies. Assist / train QC Inspectors as requested.
Essential Responsibilities :
Responsible for performing visual inspectionResponsible for Non-Destructive Examination (LP,UT,MP,VT)Responsible for documenting inspection results & recordsResponsible for determining accuracy of heat codes and Mill Test Report (MTR)Verification of traceability prior to release of the productKnow and understand Quality Policy and comply with all QMS requirementsMaintain professional relationship with machinists, assemblers, test technicians, Supervisors and ManagersAssign Heat Codes to all purchased raw material update it on Syteline Perform receiving inspection on buy-out parts or parts received from external vendorsAssign Heat Code on Job routerVerify traceability for semi-finished parts received from external vendorsFile an NCR for non-compliances and take corrective action as per engineering dispositionPurchase of Equipment / Supplies and or services needed pertaining to own jobWork in conjunction W / QC maintain calibrated tools and keep certs and records currentReview and document final traceability prior to assemblyWitness the Hydro test and Review the Test ChartsCoordinate with documentation to create Data packageMaintain minimum inventory level for NDE consumablesCoordinate with inspectors on inspection priorities.Enter requisitions for quality related tasksComply with all health and safety rulesAssist supervisor, engineers and managers in any quality control & assurance related tasks as deemed necessary by the supervisor.Requirements :
High School diploma or a GED equivalent or equivalent work experienceAbility to interpret engineering drawing, symbol, tolerancesBasic Computer Skill – MS OfficeGood Communication skillFamiliarity with GD & T preferred but not required.Ability to file NCRSix-months related experienceAbility to read, interpret drawingsVisual Acuity Testing that meets the applicable requirements of ASNT SNT-TC1AColor contrast testing requiredWOM employees enjoy a fast-paced environment, where your day-to-day contributions make a real impact to the organization.
