Position Summary
Rental Distribution Technician – Level I support the diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of power distribution equipment under the supervision of senior team members. Assists with in-house equipment fabrication, documentation, inventory, and vendor coordination to ensure efficient and timely project execution. Maintains strong communication with internal teams and contributes to customer satisfaction. Adheres to all safety protocols and quality standards, actively participating in shop meetings and continuous improvement initiatives.
Essential Duties
Operational Duties
- Assist with the diagnosis and repair of Power Distribution equipment under guidance from senior technicians.
- Support the design, fabrication, and assembly of in-house rental equipment.
- Help document material purchases, work orders, and contractor services accurately.
- Perform assigned tasks efficiently to support timely and cost-effective project completion.
- Coordinate with senior team members to manage vendor interactions for component or machine rebuilds.
- Communicate professionally with internal teams and assist in addressing customer concerns as needed.
- Follow quality assurance and control procedures to ensure high work standards.
- Participate in huddle meetings to stay informed on shop activities and priorities.
Maintenance
- Support efforts to improve the maintenance and reliability of equipment and shop processes.
- Assist with managing inventory needed to complete jobs efficiently.
- Learn and apply maintenance best practices to ensure equipment is operational and safe.
- Contribute to shop improvements by participating in lean initiatives and team action plans.
Safety
- Follow all safety protocols and operating procedures.
- Immediately report any unsafe conditions or actions to management.
- Wear proper PPE when necessary.
- Know how to use voltmeter and know what each setting is for on voltmeter.
- Participate in LOTO (Lock out tag out) program

Competencies
Education
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Graduation from Technician/Maintenance training program preferred
Certifications & Licenses
- Possess a valid Texas driver’s license
