Senior Estimator

Job Title : Senior Estimator - HVAC

Location : Fort Worth, TX

Salary : $110k-$150k (based on experience)

Job Summary :

We are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator in the HVAC industry to manage the estimation and cost analysis for HVAC projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HVAC systems, experience with retrofits, and the ability to work in design-build environments. This role offers the opportunity to handle high-level budgeting, make assumptions in the absence of formal documentation, and collaborate closely with internal teams and clients.

Responsibilities :

• Estimating : Review project specifications, conduct site visits, and prepare accurate estimates for HVAC projects. Manage the estimation process from job lock to proposal sheet. Evaluate subcontractor bids and maintain a log of competitive bid proposals.
• Design-Build Projects : Work in design-build environments and provide budget proposals before prints are released. Make assumptions and navigate the "grey area" in projects without formal documentation.
• Customer Interaction : Communicate with clients to understand project requirements, handle requests for high-level budgets in tight timelines (2-3 days), and provide estimates based on customer needs.
• Project Coordination : Collaborate with project managers and estimators to walk job sites, assist with change orders, and help with field coordination when needed.
• Additional Duties : Review retrofits and other special projects, track progress, and collaborate on bids with estimators and project managers. Provide feedback for improvement on the estimating process and suggest ways to streamline operations.
