Purpose:
As an Instrumentation & Controls Designer II, you will provide I&C engineering services to Worley and its customers. In this role, you will support the design and development of instrumentation and control systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and client requirements. Your expertise in design software and industry best practices will be instrumental in delivering high-quality engineering solutions for medium-sized and complex projects.

Responsibilities:
- Utilize Microstation V8, AutoCAD (2D and 3D modeling), PDS, and SmartPlant for I&C design and drafting.
- Apply database management and Microsoft Office Suite for documentation and project coordination.
- Ensure designs comply with industry codes, standards, and analytical techniques, applying them effectively to unique project conditions.
- Develop working drawings for above-grade and underground power and control layouts, ensuring adherence to company, client, and industry standards.
- Generate material take-offs, drawing lists, and document revision control, ensuring accurate record-keeping and compliance with document control procedures.
- Work from equipment specifications, engineering notes, sketches, and detailed drawings to create precise and effective designs.
- Collaborate within multicultural and multidisciplinary teams, demonstrating adaptability and teamwork in project execution.
- Gather and integrate data from multiple sources to inform design decisions, including:
- Equipment design for panels, panel schedules, conduit, control cables, cable tray, fire detection/alarm systems, and camera systems (CCTV).
- Conduct site surveys and interpret regulatory codes and client standards, applying standard engineering and design practices to deliver effective solutions.
- Layout complete systems, substation layouts, and project components, ensuring compliance with established precedents and project requirements.
- Ensure designs maintain required safety factors, tolerances, and specifications, upholding high-quality and safety standards in execution.
What you will bring
Technical/Industry Experience and Qualifications Requirements:
- Strong competency in Microstation V8, AutoCAD (2D & 3D), PDS, and SmartPlant.
- Knowledge of industry codes, standards, and best practices for I&C systems.
- Experience in developing detailed designs for power and control systems, instrumentation layouts, and related facilities.
- Ability to conduct site surveys and apply engineering principles to practical design solutions.
- Strong understanding of document control, revision processes, and material take-offs.
- Proven ability to work within diverse, multidisciplinary teams and collaborate effectively on complex projects.
Additional information :
Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary Range: $75,710 - $111,338 annually, commensurate with experience.
- Benefits: Eligible for Paid Time Off (PTO), 401(k), medical, vision, dental, and other company-provided benefits.
Education - Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:
Required:
- Associate Diploma in Engineering/Design or an equivalent qualification.
Preferred:
- Minimum of five (5) years of design experience in a design office, preferably with relevant industry experience in I&C systems.
