Purpose:
As an Intermediate Electrical Designer, you will provide electrical engineering services to Worley, and its Customers.
Responsibilities:
- Develop working drawings for above grade and underground power and control layouts in conformance with Company/Client and industry standards and codes.
- Create material take offs, drawing lists, and assist with document revision control. Filing of Record (intra and inter check) Prints, and other related design documents.
- Work from equipment specifications, engineering notes, sketches and/or detailed drawings.
- Gather data from multiple sources. Incorporate information from design calculations and analysis into design-based equipment (lighting, distribution transformers, distributions panels, local control panels, luminaires, raceway systems, low voltage power/control cables, fire detection/alarm system, electrical heat tracing system, fire stop barriers, etc.)
- Conduct site surveys, interpret regulatory codes, interpret client standards, apply standard engineering, and design practices to design.
- Layout complete systems, substation layouts and components of a project with all related facilities, utilizing clearly established precedents.
- Ensure compliance with required safety factors, tolerances, and specifications.
What you will bring
Technical/Industry Experience and Qualifications Requirements:
- Design experience within a design office, ideally with previous relevant industry experience more than five (5) years.
- Demonstrated understanding and application of Micro station V8 & AutoCAD, 2D and 3D modelling (PDS, Smart Plant)
- Demonstrated competency in the application of databases, Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiar with relevant industry codes and analytical techniques. Application of these codes to distinctive design conditions.
- Demonstrated understanding of projects of medium size and complexity.
- Demonstrated understanding of working within multicultural and multidisciplinary teams.
Education - Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:
Required:
- Associate Diploma in Engineering Design or equivalent qualification.
Additional information:
- Pay: $36.40/hr. - $53.53/hr. commensurate with experience.
