Administrative Support Specialist
Job Type:
Full Time – M-F, 8 AM – 5 PM
Job Description:
This position is responsible for providing secretarial and advanced clerical support to the Board of Commissioners Office and for performing administrative activities in support of department functions and operations. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office and have the ability to effectively communicate and interact with management, employees, citizens, and all other groups involved in the activities of the County. Applicant should be of good moral character with no criminal history and maintain a cheerful demeanor.
Duties:
- Assists the public, both at the counter and by telephone, with information regarding assessments.
- Reads and processes all documents and applications.
- Enters all assessment data and changes onto field sheets or books, record cards, assessment roll and various other records, either manually or by automated systems.
- Maintains record folders.
- Prepares and summarizes assessment data.
- Tracks applications for assessment purposes, including making up cards and copies to take into the field for data collections.
- Receives grievances and maintains case files for review.
- Maintains fixed assets.
- Forwards document changes to supervisors.
- Prepares correspondence regarding routine assessment matters.
- Performs other related duties as required. Duties and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, telephone operations, typing, filings, and maintaining records.
