What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dining Room Manager position at Worthington Country Club?
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the dining room, ensuring a smooth and efficient service
- Manage and train the dining room staff, including servers, hosts/hostesses, and bussers
- Maintain high standards of customer service, ensuring guest satisfaction and resolving any issues that may arise
- Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate food preparation and delivery
- Coordinate with the catering team for special events and private parties
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders for supplies as needed
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation practices
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in food service management or restaurant management is required
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on providing exceptional dining experiences
- Knowledge of Jonas or similar restaurant management software is preferred
- Familiarity with food preparation techniques and catering operations
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively lead a team
- Strong organizational skills to manage staff schedules, inventory, and other administrative tasks
