At Worthington Enterprises, we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Process Safety Engineering Intern
This role will involve supporting the Engineering team and other managers in the facility through various tasks and projects. The Process Engineer (Process Safety) intern will partner with Process Safety Engineers who maintain OSHA compliance for Process Safety Management and assist the Environmental, Health & Safety Department with risk management activities associated with PSMs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with team members to support the design and analysis of manufacturing equipment and processes to ensure the safety of employees.
- Develop safe manufacturing protocols and procedures while working collaboratively with other project engineers, operations, safety, and maintenance teams.
- Participate in a detailed Process Hazards Analysis event which happens every 5 years in our Chilton plant.
- Assist other engineers in the design and budgeting of projects.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Completed at least two years of a college degree from a recognized accredited college or university in Engineering.
- Environmental, Chemical or Process Engineering majors preferred or other related degrees.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft applications and AutoCAD.
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Strong analytical ability to analyze and solve problems.
- Ability to multi-task and work at a fast pace.
