Experienced professional and individual contributor that is fully proficient in applying established standards and possesses a knowledge base acquired from several years of experience in the business and with various types of analytical work. Comfortable working independently and as part of a smaller collaborate group, the analyst in this role may also instruct and coach other professionals. As a member of the Advanced Analytics group, contributes to important projects in providing analytics services to various functions across the enterprise, which includes applying appropriate problem-solving frameworks, gathering ad hoc requirements from business stakeholders, while developing new insights and understanding of business performance based on data and statistical methods. Tasked with providing actionable analyses, insights and recommendations to management, via understanding of the Worthington Steel business model and the data assets available for analysis. Comfortable querying and manipulating data, applying statistical and quantitative analysis when needed, communicating the results of analyses to the business, as well as developing and delivering decision-support tools to drive business impact. In addition to continuing to develop their working knowledge of the Worthington Business System, the analyst in this role has a strong appetite for individual development in communication as well as specific data and analytics team competencies.

- Query structured data sets for use in analysis and/or decision support tools.
- Design and build user-friendly reports, dashboards, and other decision-support tools to maintain a high level of stakeholder satisfaction.
- Understand the business to identify novel and impactful applications of Advanced Analytics.
- Ability to adhere to best practices and quality assurance regarding dashboard and report development (User Interface and User Experience).
- Possess an introductory level understanding of statistical concepts and methods.
- Able to work productively little with little direct guidance/management, proactive problem solver, and, when asked, the ability to execute multiple projects concurrently using a defined and repeatable process.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required along with demonstrated experience working with cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrates ability to communicate complex information and results clearly and concisely to a variety of audiences.
- Demonstrated ability in applying common problem-solving techniques and frameworks, including those within the Worthington Business System.
- Demonstrated a strong aptitude and drive to continually learn about all functional areas to help drive adoption of analytics into day-to-day decision making.
- Experience building reports and dashboards in Oracle Analytics Cloud and APEX.
- Desire to develop an understanding of various modeling techniques including but not limited to correlation, decision trees, regression, and time-series models.
- Some experience and a strong desire to develop the ability to query internal and external data sources, in addition to the engineering and conversion of these data into useful business information for a variety of analytical applications.
- Experience with dashboard and report development in Oracle Analytics Cloud (or similar), from requirements through delivery.
- Experience extracting, manipulating and engineering data sets.
- Desire to learn about advanced analytics/predictive modeling concepts and techniques.
