We are seeking upcoming or recent graduates for this position. Have a military background? You could be a fit, too! Candidates with previous experience on campus, in extra-curriculars, or in through previous employment will succeed in this role. The roles and responsibilities of the Engineering Intern are under the direction of the Maintenance Manager and are assigned in alignment with the business unit succession planning initiatives with added exposure to multiple engineering roles which may include mechanical, electrical, controls and reliability engineering.
Join our team as an Engineering Intern. This role will support the Engineering team and other managers in the facility through various tasks and projects. This position is to assist with continuously improving production levels and quality through innovation in the design, repair and maintenance of equipment and process flow. This includes maximizing the time, equipment is available for operations and minimizes equipment down time. Ideally, candidates would be able to start in May timeframe and work 40 hours per week in the summer. The internship candidates can come from various areas of focus (mechanical, electrical engineering).
Special Projects may include:
- Guarding Assessment Project
- CAR Capital Requests
- Machine Movement
Starting Pay: $22/hr.
Responsibilities & Desired Skills
- Assist with trouble shooting & documenting critical machine breakdowns & processes through root cause analysis.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft applications & Auto CAD.
- Strong interpersonal & teamwork skills.
- Strong analytical ability to analyze and solve problems.
- Ability to multi-task and work at a fast pace.
- Assist other engineers in the design and budgeting of projects.
- Candidate must have completed at least two years of a college degree from a recognized accredited College or University in Engineering or other related degrees.
