Carrier Broker

Partners Personnel is seeking a Carrier Broker for our client in the Gainesville, GA area.  This is a Contract to hire position.  Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.  Great opportunity with a great company

 Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain relationships with carriers and shippers.
• Negotiate freight rates and contracts to optimize profit margins.
• Coordinate and schedule shipments, ensuring compliance with regulations and customer requirements.
• Monitor shipments and provide updates to clients regarding status and potential issues.
• Utilize transportation management software to track shipments and maintain accurate records.
• Conduct market research to identify new carriers and assess service capabilities.
• Assist in resolving any operational issues that may arise during transportation.

 Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a carrier broker or in a related logistics role.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Proficient in transportation management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of freight transportation regulations and best practices.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
