What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nurse Practitioner (NP)/Physician Assistant (PA) position at Wound Management Specialists?
Summary: We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant specializing in wound care to join our team in the Fayetteville, NC area. This is a full-time 5 days per week position. You will be responsible for the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of assigned patients in the in-home, nursing home and assisted living settings. This position requires the NP/PA to travel in a designated area to perform wound care.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage wound care at skilled nursing and assisted living facilities
- Manage wound care in the in-home setting
- Diagnose and establish patient treatment plans
- Assess, monitor and report changes in patient symptoms
- Communicate with collaborating physicians or specialists regarding wound care
- Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities
- Maintain accurate patient medical records
- Provide advice and emotional support to patients and their family members
Responsibilities:
- Previous experience in nursing or other medical fields
- Familiarity with medical software and equipment
- Ability to build rapport with patients
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge and experience of wound and ostomy care
Education and Experience:
- Master of Science in Nursing/PA equivalent
- Must be Board Certified in NC
- Excellent customer service skills

Potential bonus pay!

Pay: $120,000.00 - $145,000.00 per year
