Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough assessments of patients' wounds, including measurement, staging, and documentation
- Develop and implement individualized wound care plans based on patients' specific needs and medical history
- Administer wound care treatments such as dressing changes, debridement, and application of topical medications
- Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Educate patients and their families on proper wound care techniques and self-management strategies
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
- Valid Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Florida
- Proven experience as a Wound Care Nurse or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of wound assessment, treatment modalities, and evidence-based practices
- Proficiency in performing procedures such as dressing changes, concervative debridement, wound vacs, and advanced skin substitute applications
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment
- Familiarity with case management principles is preferred
