Human Resources Manager - Hybrid
We are looking for a dynamic and organized Human Resources Manager to run the daily functions of the Human Resources Department including but not limited to benefits, LOAs, Workers Comp, HRIS systems, and employee relations. This is a one-person department so we are looking for a candidate who can wear multiple hats, has initiative, and great energy.
We create high-end luxury products so a fashion, retail, home goods, or creative background is always helpful.
We are looking for a Worker's Comp Guru who understands compliance issues, procedures, training, mitigation, and claims processing from A to Z.
This is a hybrid position and requires 2 - 3 days in our Los Angeles office.
Primary Job Duties:
- Administer benefits, performance management systems, and safety programs.
- Work with management to identify staff vacancies
- Be the liaison for current and prospective employees with information about policies, job duties, working conditions, wages, opportunities for promotion, and employee benefits.
- Support local management with people relations.
- Keep management up-to-date with matters related to employment law.
- Plan and conduct new employee orientations to foster a positive attitude toward organizational objectives.
- Serve as a link between management and employees by handling questions and helping resolve work-related problems.
- Maintain records and compile statistical reports concerning people-related data such as hires, transfers, performance appraisals, and absenteeism rates.
- Conduct exit interviews to identify the reasons for employee termination.
- Oversees employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, recommends best practices; and reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Must have Workers' Comp and Leave of Absence filing and processing experience.
- HR Warehouse or Manufacturing experience a plus.
- Luxury product category experience is a plus.
- Negotiation and conflict resolution skills.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field
- Strong knowledge of Employment & Labor Law, FMLA, and Human Resources Management
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Experience in conflict management and talent acquisition
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and data collection
- Certification in Human Resources Management would be a plus
- A background check is required
