FORE is an institutionally backed seed-stage company, with investor-provided offices in Los Angeles, CA.Role Summary As a Data Engineer at FORE, your core responsibilities will involve developing and maintaining efficient data pipelines, cleaning and processing diverse data sets, integrating predictive analytics, and generating databases to serve our reporting tools, collaborating closely with the lead engineer and CTO. You'll have the opportunity to work in a dynamic team environment, utilizing your proficiency in Python and data-related libraries to ensure data integrity and contribute to innovative client-specific projects. If you're a motivated professional with a passion for data and problem-solving and prepared to join a dynamic startup, we encourage you to apply for this role.Responsibilities Develop and maintain efficient data pipelines.Clean and process diverse data sets, including client internal data and data from external providers.Address data challenges such as data inconsistency, quality issues, and complex transformations in a supportive learning environment.Collaborate with the lead engineer and CTO to gain an understanding of pipeline structure and data processing requirements.Work autonomously and collaboratively to integrate predictive analytics into pipelines.Prepare and format data for reporting purposes.Utilize GCP services such as Cloud Storage, Compute Engine, and potentially others, with foundational understanding provided.Develop comprehensive testing strategies to ensure data integrity and pipeline functionality.Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.1-3 years of relevant experience.Proficiency in Python and its data-related libraries (primarily Pandas, also NumPy, SciPy).Version control using Git.Strong attention to processing integrity and accuracy.Effective problem-solving abilities.Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively.High attention to detail, particularly with data security best practices.Preferred Skills Intuition for structuring codebases and creating modular, expandable functions.Basic understanding of common machine learning models and assessing the impact of data processing on these models.Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform and containerization technologies like Docker / Kubernetes.Compensation Location Based on qualifications $80k-$120k equity. The role is remote, however the team operates on Pacific Time and meets regularly in Los Angeles, CA. Our office is always open and offers a free cafeteria and gym.
