How Your Role Fits In
As the Distribution Center Manager (DCM) for our Mosinee facility, you will be responsible for the overall operations of the facility. This position will be responsible for planning, delegating, coordinating, staffing, organizing, decision making, and working directly with our customer base.
What youll do:
- Customer Engagement: Handle all customer inquiries, complaints, and notifications in a timely manner as requested.
- Team Management: Direct and manage warehouse staff of approximately 15, including forklift drivers, operations coordinators, supervisors, and leads.
- Employee Development: Motivate, coach, and appraise employee performance, fostering a productive and positive work environment and ensuring employees are equipped with the skills needed for their roles.
- Leadership Training: Participate in leadership training programs to enhance management skills and effectiveness.
- Performance Review & Appraisal: Write and conduct performance reviews to assess and enhance employee performance. Prepare corrective actions and follow up as necessary, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
- Policy Enforcement: Uphold company policies consistently and fairly to maintain compliance and workplace standards.
- Safety Compliance: Promote a safe work environment, adhering to OSHA standards, food safety standards, and assisting in safety training sessions and meetings to promote a culture of safety.
- Inventory Management: Manage inventory and address discrepancies, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Communication: Develop content for communication meetings to facilitate effective team communication.
- Additional Duties: Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
What it takes to succeed:
- Experience: 3 years of management experience, including financial responsibility
- Education: Associates degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or similar field preferred
- Additional skill sets: Proficiency with MS Office suite, Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, Strong attention to detail and time management skills
