We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Procurement Buyer to join our team at WP Engine. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the purchasing process for goods and services essential to our operations, ensuring timely delivery, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
The Day to Day:
Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet the company's objectives and budget requirements.- Source, negotiate, and establish relationships with suppliers to secure the best possible pricing, terms, and conditions.
- Conduct regular market research and analysis to identify new suppliers, products, and technologies that align with the company's needs.
- Manage the end-to-end procurement process, from purchase requisition to goods receipt and payment processing.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including finance, operations, and IT teams, to ensure alignment on procurement decisions.
- Monitor and evaluate supplier performance and compliance with contract terms, quality standards, and delivery schedules.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and risk mitigation within the procurement function.
- Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices in procurement to recommend innovative solutions.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field/equivalent experience.- Proven experience as a procurement buyer or in a similar role, preferably in the technology or SaaS industry.
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain supplier relationships.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools, ideally Coupa.
- Knowledge of contract management, sourcing strategies, and supply chain processes.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a cross-functional team.
- Certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) is a plus.

Base Salary Range
We believe that compensation should be reflective of the impact you have within the organization relative to the market value of your role. The estimated base salary range for this position is as listed above. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay. Our salary ranges are determined by job role and responsibilities and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for salaries for the position nationwide. The actual base pay will vary based on various factors including job-related skills and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process.
