What are the responsibilities and job description for the Administrative Assistant position at WPAS?
Job Purpose:
Under general supervision of the Department supervisor, Senior Administrative Assistant, and/or Account Executive, the Administrative Assistant provides office services by implementing administrative systems, procedures, and policies, and monitoring administrative projects for Trust Funds.
Job Duties:
- Performs a variety of routine to moderately difficult secretarial and clerical duties, including answering the telephone, sorting mail, and filing.
- Uses Microsoft Office for word processing and spreadsheet creation
- Types correspondence, memoranda, reports, and forms from handwritten notes, copy, or dictation
- Performs research projects as directed by the department manage or Account Executives.
- Proofreads documents for typographical and spelling errors.
- Maintains supply inventory for the department.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- Completion of the Administrative Assistant Trainee Classification or Two (2) years of office work with one (1) year working within a corporate environment working collaboratively with executives and third-party clients.
- Working knowledge of basic office equipment
- Demonstrated ability to keep calm and positive within all communications.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal staff and external clients.
- Proven ability to accurately and timely review and accounting information and documentation.
- Ability to utilize computer and phone systems to effectively perform the essential functions of the position
Preferred Qualification:
- BA in Business
- 3-4 years of experience in a TPA environment
