Position: Receptionist
Job: Under the general supervision of the Department Manager/Supervisor this position phone and visitor support to all Departments in the Company.
Job Duties:
- Independently operate the telephone console in a professional and timely manner.
- Attends to the high volume of calls while taking messages and forwarding appropriately.
- Perform routine clerical duties while assisting any visitors in the lobby area.
- Perform duties with a calm and professional demeanor toward all clients, vendors and internal personnel.
- Welcome all visitors with a positive manner.
- Ensure the lobby and reception areas are tidy and presentable.
- Maintain and manage office security by following safety procedures and controlling access to the back offices.
- Perform clerical assistance for other departments to include stuffing envelopes, drafts and customer’s informational material.
- Train any new employees on the receptionist job duties.
- Perform basic clerical duties such as filing, photocopying and transcribing under the guidance of the supervisor.
- Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- 1 year within a Receptionist role or 2 year of general office experience.
- Working knowledge of basic office equipment
- Proven track record of positive interpersonal communications with internal and external clients
- Demonstrated ability to keep calm and positive within all communications.
- Proven ability to accurately and timely review and edit documents.
- Utilize computer and phone systems to be able to effectively perform the essential functions of the position.
- Previous experience utilizing Microsoft office software
- High school diploma or G.E.D
Preferred Qualifications:
- Some college level courses
- 2-3 years of experience within a corporate environment answering a high volume of calls.
