Our team is seeking a highly capable Financial Analyst who is looking to develop their skillset within a challenging yet exciting and supportive atmosphere. We directly support the leadership team in identifying and evaluating growth opportunities and driving efficiency, whether it’s planning for next year’s budget, working with our leadership team on growth initiatives, or developing cost-saving strategies. As a member of our team, you will be a trusted strategic partner across the organization. In addition to target setting and helping the leadership team understand the business’s financial results, you will provide key decision support to help solve the business’s biggest challenges. In this role, you will gain skills and experience that can be leveraged throughout your career. In addition to being part in our strong corporate and team culture, you will have access to regular training and development opportunities to support your professional growth.
Salary Range
We are open to remote work in the following approved states:
Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin
This position can be hybrid, having the regional availability to come in our Office at WPS Corporate Center Building - 1717 W. Broadway in Madison, WI.

- Senior Level: $80,000 ~ $95,000 annually

What You Will Do
- Support the company-wide budgeting, forecasting, and long-range strategic planning processes.
- Prepare reporting and analysis to help leaders understand the drivers of variance, financially and operationally.
- Provide financial modeling and business case analysis to leaders across the organization to support key business decisions.
- Support Government and Commercial bids and proposals.
- Spearhead process improvement projects.
- Assist with development of junior team members.
- Are curious about the expense/value drivers of our business and would enjoy continually developing a deeper understanding of our company and industry.
- Are skilled at building quantitative models and interpreting results.
- Are good at telling a story and can explain complex topics tailored to the audience.
- Enjoy taking ownership of deliverables and creating value-added analyses, particularly in grey spaces.
- Are a skilled influencer and exhibit growing strength in identifying key insights and recommendations to management.
- Have innovative instincts and problem-solving skills to develop and implement performance improvement methods.
- Establish direct relationships with key leaders throughout the organization.
- Present and lead discussions on business line performance in only a matter of months.

- Satisfaction of serving our nation’s military, veterans, Guard and Reserves as well as our growing senior population.
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent post high school and/or related work experience.
- Professional Analyst: 1 or more years of related experience in accounting or finance.
- Senior Analyst: 3 or more years of related experience in accounting or finance.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills.
- Outstanding problem-solving ability and strong analytical skills.
- Knowledge of BI/forecasting tools (Cognos/Power BI/Adaptive Insights).
- High speed cable or fiber internet
- Minimum of 10 Mbps downstream and at least 1 Mbps upstream internet connection (can be checked at https://speedtest.net)
