Hiring Construction Safety Professional
4 to 6 week contract / potential to lead to benefited full time
Responsibilities
Reviews daily safe work plans developed by contractors, recommend adjustments and provide monitoring
Conduct regular jobsite and work area inspections
Conduct formal weekly jobsite inspections noting safety issues and corrective actions
Record, notify and prepare written report of any safety violations or unsafe practices
Collect and track contractor safety observations for project
Review incident reports from contractors and generate proper supporting reports
Ensure incidents are reported and appropriate risk-reduction measures are implemented
Foster collaborative relationships with Owners, CM partner(s) and Safety Managers
Assist in the development and maintain Lessons Learned communications for the campus
Attends and participates in owner-contractor project progress meetings as necessary
Qualifications
A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience working on industrial or commercial construction projects
Well-versed in 29 CFR 1926 regulations and construction industry standards with applicable certifications
Proficient in creating spreadsheets, word documents and using mobile devices for safety inspections/audits
Strong initiative (self-starter), problem-solving and communication skills
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
