Assembler
PRIMARY DUTIES :
Essential Functions / Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned :
- Assuring work area is safe.
- Performing the various skills of assembling a Case knife.
- Employee must periodically fill out maintenance and / or tool & die requests to ensure all machines and fixtures are within specification to produce a quality knife and help eliminate / reduce scrap.
- Employee is required to assemble, bracker, and spin all patterns of knives.
- Employee is required at times to carry trays from the work station to the RS hafting rack and RHC racks.
- Employee at times may be required to get empty trays from other areas in the factory to take back to the assembly department.
- Employee is required to clean his or her work area daily at the end of the shift.
- Employee must maintain adherence to safety initiatives while working in his or her respective area in accordance with standard operating procedures.
- Employee is required to follow all quality assurance specification to find / prevent any defects such as (chipped or cracked covers, unacceptable center spins, unacceptable brackering, rusty blades, or unacceptable walk & talk).
- Responsible for cleanliness of the work area during and upon his or her completion of jobs.
- Take instructions from supervisors.
- Assist Engineering / Quality departments as needed.
