The Content Marketing Senior Manager will set and lead content strategy programs for content marketing initiatives for Wray Ward's clients as determined by the Content Marketing Director and the PR / Content Marketing / Social Media Executive Director. The Content Marketing Senior Manager will work with directors and client teams to lead results-driven written content marketing materials. This role requires exceptional writing skills to create blog posts, email and newsletter campaigns, white papers, case studies, website copy and other types of editorial-based content. The Content Marketing Senior Manager will work closely with the Content Marketing Automation team to ensure the effective execution of content marketing campaigns and will maintain a working knowledge of the technology platform capabilities used for execution.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities as Content Marketing Senior Manager
- Work with client teams (leads, client engagement directors, project managers) to develop written content materials in all forms for assigned client initiatives
- Establish a strategic plan for programs, including content approach, editorial topic identification, calendars, cadence and proposed measurement metrics
- Work with search managers to ensure content is aligned with search strategies and written to garner SEO benefits
- Work with marketing automation managers to ensure accurate and effective deployment of content in alignment with the content strategy
- Deliver content on time and on budget to team leads and / or clients
- Write content, which may include blog posts, white papers, emails / newsletters, advertorials, case studies, website copy, magazines and other types of editorial-based content
- Write content in a variety of voices, tones and complexities based on target audience expectations and preferences, from technical-heavy white papers to design-inspired blog posts
- Work to become a subject matter expert on client challenges, products and trends
- Ensure the highest quality of work is being delivered to the client
- Work closely with the Client Engagement, PR / Content, Integrated Media, Project Management and Resourcing and Creative teams to ensure a seamless project workflow
