Responsibilities
1. Recruits, selects, and trains volunteers.
2. Provides information to individuals and community groups about hospice volunteer services.
3. Evaluate and establish volunteer services with the patient, family/caregiver, and hospice team.
4. Supervise and evaluate volunteers in a timely and appropriate manner.
5. Maintains current volunteer personnel files.
6. Maintains monthly timesheets and program statistics and other compliance documents.
7. Actively participates in organization-wide quality management program.
Accepts and performs other related duties and responsibilities
Qualifications
1. Hospice and/or volunteer experience preferred.
2. Ability to supervise, coordinate, evaluate, and manage, volunteers for both patient and organizational needs.
3. Must exhibit the ability to interact well with a great diversity of individuals and the ability to organize and execute programs in compliance with policies and procedures.
4. Be capable of prioritizing and handling multiple tasks of critical importance.
5. Must understand and problem-solve issues related to the delivery of hospice care.
6. Possess a valid state driver’s license and be able to drive in all types of weather conditions.
