What are the responsibilities and job description for the Information Technology Engineer position at Wren Kitchens?
We are seeking a skilled IT Engineer to contribute to our success.
This role involves providing technical assistance and support across various areas of our business, including head office, manufacturing, transport, retail, and beyond. As the front face of IT, you will offer expertise and resolve issues through phone, email, and face-to-face interactions.
The role is 5 days a week, with rotating shifts, including occasional visits to retail stores, ensuring no two days are the same.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive IT support to desktop/laptop systems, mobile devices, printers, network connectivity, and more.
- Troubleshoot technical issues, including server problems, RFID devices, cell phones, 3D systems, and more.
- Communicate technical solutions effectively to non-technical team members.
- Collaborate with internal and external support providers to coordinate support activities.
- Record and respond to incidents and requests within agreed-upon timelines.
- Conduct proactive maintenance of company desktop environment.
- Assist with software distribution and retail showroom IT installations as needed.
Desired Skills and Knowledge:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in desktop support and/or service desk roles.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Windows 10/11 and Apple operating systems.
- Strong understanding of network basics, including TCP/IP, DHCP, and DNS.
- Knowledge and experience with MS Active Directory.
- Ability to work independently and coordinate support activities effectively.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and environments.
